Solid value for my road bike

Hey, thinking about switching to Laka for my road bike insurance. How does their whole 'collective' thing actually work? Like, is it super complicated or pretty straightforward?

It's actually pretty cool. Basically, you get a quote, and then at the end of the month, everyone in the 'collective' pays a share of all the claims made that month. But they cap it so you never pay more than your initial quote. So you kinda know your max risk.

yeah it's not bad. i've been with them for a year, sometimes you pay less than your quote if there aren't many claims. pretty transparent.

I'm pretty sure they do scooters now. I'd imagine you could add both to the same policy, but it might be separate coverages on the same account? Worth checking their quote tool.

Yeah, they definitely do e-scooters. You can add multiple items to your policy, so the gravel bike and scooter should be fine together.

If you get a referral code from an existing member, you usually get some credit applied to your account, like for your first month's payment. You enter it when you're getting your initial quote or signing up.

From my experience, yes, they do cover it, but you definitely need to have it locked up properly with an approved lock. Check their site, they have a list of locks they're cool with. It's not just home theft.
